In Vivo Inflammation and Inflammatory Disease Models

Carrageenan Paw Edema (CPE) - rapid one-day initial screen for anti-inflammatory activity; an inexpensive and reliable model.
Adjuvant-Induced Arthritis (AIA) - 1-month detailed study of anti-inflammatory activity
Collagen-Induced Arthritis (CIA) * - 6-week detailed study using an autoimmune mechanism to mimic human arthritis; rat and mouse models.
Antigen-Induced Arthritis (AIA) - measures acute and chronic responses in rabbit; large volumes for tissues and joints.

Mouse Ear Edema – Topical - an excellent measure of topical anti-inflammatory activity
Ova-Induced-Asthma - a rat model of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) or Asthma.
Mouse LPS Model - cytokine analysis of LPS-stimulated inflammation
