Rheumatoid Arthritis
Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) is an autoimmune disease characterized by chronic inflammation of joints and organs.
WBI’s models for Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) cover all of the essential models for evaluation of anti-arthritic efficacy for small molecules, proteins and vaccines. Our scientists are experienced with evaluation of results for test materials and a wide variety of controls/reference materials used in hundreds of our prophylactic and therapeutic studies.
In addition to the basic read-outs for each model, optional analyses can be ordered for histopathology, cytokines, pharmacokinetic samples and collagen antibodies.
WBI's RA models
- Collagen-Induced Arthritis (CIA)
- Adjuvant-Induced Arthritis (AIA)
- Carrageenan Air Pouch
- Zymosan Air Pouch
- Pristane-Induced Arthritis (PIA)
- Ovalbumin-Induced Arthritis (OIA)
- SCW PG-PS 10S
Because no single test is definitive in predicting efficacy for treatment of humans, the importance of results from animal models in more than one species is recognized. Hence WBI offers a Two Species Test for Arthritis: Rodent/Rabbit Combo-Test for Arthritis for additional assurance of test material efficacy.
A Final Report for each of our studies includes all details of materials, procedures, observations, measurements, data and statistical analysis for treatment efficacy.
